I'm glad I went with the cap. It was a lot cheaper than a new battery or alternator, and my headlights now stay the same no matter what. I have a 2 farad on a 500w system (as of now, I might upgrade). I like the fact that it reads what my battery is charging at also.

My hearing is shot from a combination of big stereos , concerts, going to drag strips and racetracks. Working around loud machinery and shooting.

Same here! My ears still work good though, haha.

I don't have my sub crazy loud, but it's enough to shake my head around on certain bass notes. The nice thing is you can barely hear it outside of my jeep. My back hatch just rattles ever so slightly. That way it sounds awesome inside, but I don't advertise I have a system and be at risk for someone to break in and steal it. I can literally talk at a normal, quiet volume 2 feet from my back hatch while it's open, then stick my head in just 1 foot and not hear a thing going on behind me. Same thing if I were to stick my head in the front window. I aimed my sub towards the spare tire and it just bounces within my jeep and stays there. It no longer bounces off the back hatch and rattles things as much. It sounds better inside too. It was a little muffled pointing towards the hatch.
