98 xj meet explorer 8.8
i know everyone asks this but i must get a response my d35 is dying i have a 91 explorer 8.8 with 31 spline the adapter kit for drive line , mounting hardware, all new brake hardware etc ... will i need anything to adapt brake line to 8.8 and will e-brake link up? reason for the questions is i have only one shot to get it right and done since its my daily driver

i though 31 spline was 95 and up...not 91. that would be 28 spline. dunno. there is a kit for the e-brakes, and you have to bend up some new hard lines as far as i know. i havent got there yet with mine, i just finished gutting and stripping it...

95 and newer had disc brakes and 31 spline but 90 - 94 had 31 spline drum brakes i almost went crazy right now and went to triple check spline count lol.

i sure hope this is all because it will make a more easier install thank you all for your help hopefully my last few parts get here in mail soon so i can get rid of the extremely messy and tired 35

currently in process of install going so smooth was able to re use 35 brake lines on 8.8 as well as vent tube distribution block

i didn't connect up the e-brake yet my handle is broken but i did test fit the d35 ebrake cables and with the help of a few zip ties to hold it to axle it will work just fine . im running 3:55 gears as of right now i plan to do a 4:56 upgradeas soon as funds are available. also thinking of doing a twin stick e-brake set up to use like cutting brakes but just ideas at the moment.

I'm still not sure how I'm going to do my ebrake, don't have any stock lines, although I have a dana44 I might try the ebrake off that. I like my 4.56s
