At that point in the process, obese fearless. I buzzed a hole below the nut with a 4.5" angle grinder. Makes easy work of it. Swapped in grade 8 hardware because I didn't want to wait for new factory stuff. Cut the hole, no need to weld.

OK, so I cut the hole. And what do you know - the bolt started turning. Maybe the heat or something freed it. Now I have to do the same on the rear eye, I can hear it moving in there.
So there is no need to weld it back up? Atleast right away?

I have more questions for you guys.
One of the shock bolts broke off... Any ideas on how to fix it? Drill and tap? Or just weld it on there...

Upper or lower shock bolt? Upper will break off all the time; plenty of write ups on here about it. I just fished in and dropped new bolts from the top and bingo, done.

Just for reference, Up Country was an upgraded suspension package. Country "edition" was a trim package. Neither of which solely determined the presence of the rear swaybar. Either way, as everyone else is saying, the rear swaybar can be removed.
