I contacted Eaton, first through email, and then via phone.
Was told that the Detroit was on "long term back order" and that this was due to a production problem. They couldn't tell me when one would be available but it is not permanently discontinued.

Pulled the Lokka and see that I have a broken spacer. I don't see anything else wrong.
I'm not sure if the broken spacer is a cause or a result of the violent unlock/lock sequence. I don't see why a break here would cause a functional problem unless the loose pieces were causing a problem.

I just received an entire new locker warrantied from Lokka. Given that it was out of warranty, I never got around to sending all of the photos they asked for, and I only asked them to sell me a new spacer I have to give them a lot of credit.
