detroit truetrac vs detroit locker
I'm already set on either gettin a Selectable eaton e locker or a full automatic detroit locker for my rear ford 8.8.
But the front Dana 30 I'm not so sure about. I know I want it to be a Detroit but I'm not sure if I want the detroit truetrac or the "full" detroit locker. Any thoughts on the two? I will be running 33" mud tires. Do mostly street/highway driving but I like to get out at least once every two weeks to do some trails and or mudding. Any thoughts would be nice to have, thanks

I have run the true trac in both the xj and tj. as far as steering goes its great no bind and on road you dont know its there. the xj with 36's takes a lot of work with left foot brake modulation to help it out. but with the wifes tj and 35's it is working great also no issue climbing the rocks around here and does most waterfalls with little trouble.

i have a detoit locker out back in my D44 and a tru trac up front with my HP D30. i run 35" tires and 4.56 gears. like BTM24 said you wont even realize it is there on the street, and offroad it works wonders. i dont have the brake pedal problem with mine cause my jeep is a manual. i love this thing and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good price and street driveablility.

I know you said your set on the rear but If I were you and was thinking selectable it would be in the front.
So IMO I'd do e-locker in the front and detroit locker in the rear...that's just opinion though.

because the front has no option on unlocking and you do not have the ability to lock and unlock hubs a full locker or autolocker will clunk around in the front axle. a selectable will allow you to not do that. the rear is the rear and it doesn't matter that much. for the 8.8 i would make sure to look at a c clip eliminator kit as well.
