Exclamation Bumper Recommendations

Alright, so I'm looking to throw a new front and rear bumper on my '99 XJ. Where do you guys normally shop for armor? Not really in the need of a stinger bumper, just something to clean up the front end. Thanks in advance!

I shopped around for a front bumper for the longest time until i came accross the hooligan offroad front bumper. I got it without the stinger. i recommend you check it out.

I have a Dirtbound Stubby on my 99. It was the cheapest option I could get to Canada. So far so good.

Iron Rock Offroad's DIY Rear bumpers are top notch. The main bumper is one bent piece of 3/16" and uses every hitch tie in bolt plus has plates that sandwich the uniframe between the brackets. Very cheap too and comes mostly done already

Default EAG Rear Bumper stock replacement fitment, can i keep my intsalled hitch?

Looking at an EAG rear bumper to match my front. Just wondering if anyone has one and if it required you to remove your trailer hitch

Those chinese bumpers need some added reinforcement if you plan to use the recovery points or hitch.

Yes you need to get the rear bumper tie in brackets, even if you just want to use it to carry your spare tire.

So I love the stock bumper look, but I wanted a winch. Went crazy trying to find a bumper I liked and I just couldnt decide on anything. Then I discovered the BWE comp mount. Right away it claimed to work with the stock bumper, although they provided no info on how exactly that works. Low and behold, no it doesnt fit perfectly without modification. You have to modify the stock bumper. I reached out to BWE saying I have plenty of good photos of how the mount works with the stock bumper and it would be great if they added it to the site for people like me who werent sure if they should go for it or not because of the lack of info on stock bumper usage, but no response . Anyway, here it is. 12K Badlands winch completely hidden. And I will say its gotten me out of some f'ed up situations a few times now.

So as you can see you do need to notch out the bumper so that the winch mount can clear it. You'd never notice it if you werent looking for it, but would have been nice of them to at least tell you that. Oh well, either way, I highly recommend if you like the stock look.
