Anyone used this set up ??

https://mbrpexhauststore.com/mbrp-s5...ack-single-al/

I'm concerned about the tip size.....(no gutter jokes)...only got room for maybe 3" between the hitch & shackles.

This seems to be a carry over from their diesel exhaust systems...where we all know a 50% bigger tip so it makes more HP.....lol

Just annoys me that I'm paying for it even if I don't use it.......also not sure if not using it will result in the end of the tailpipe being too short, which is why I am asking if anyone has used this system.

I've never heard of them before. That muffler looks big. It's a decent price post a sound clip if you get it. You could always sell the tip to someone with a Honda.

That's the one I was looking at..........

Yeah, I know they started with diesel systems...and they always had a much bigger tip than was needed....them diesel guys think a big tip is 'da bomb' (I personally never got it...)

There's 1 chevy running around these parts that is a stock height 2wd that has, no bull, dual tips under his truck that are soo big, if he was to drive over a speed bump, the bottom edge of the tip would hit the ground................and I'm not even sure it's a diesel truck either.....

That's your fault. Your IQ is too high.

The technical term for that is, "stupid".

MBRP isn't far from me in Huntsville, Ontario. Great exhaust, awesome quality and even better customer service. you won't find a better system for more money. one of the best on the market, hands down. Canadian made with pride. very popular here, for obvious reasons.

cheers.

I don't like running tips on my diesel but I am running 5" almost to motor where I had to go 4" to get t turbo. Turbo is pushing alittle more air.
I despise those big tips to.

High and tight no tip

"That muffler looks big."
Yes it does considering my original factory one was 24.5"L x 9.75"W x 4.5"H

I wasn't saying that in a negative way or anything was just an initial thought. I'd like to know what it sounds like.

Just got me to thinking also. So I measured under my XJ. A 31" muffler ends 1/3rd of the way in to my catalytic converter. It wouldn't work on mine.

Thinking the 31" dimension is from connection to connection maybe ??

That's what the exit looked like on my dually when I got it.....I simply put a turndown on it....

Mine had 5" as well up to the turbo...97 12v cranked up a little (dyno'd 299 hp and 799 ft lbs)
