X2 for xjfiles. Fast, cheap, and good quality. That's a rare combination.

Big difference in products. If the stock throttle butterfly is left in, where is the real performance gain?

He bores 60mm all the way through on later year xjs. He keeps the stock plate but above 60mm you'll need larger. His TB work nicely

But www.strokedjeep.com bores a 52mm RenixTB all the way through to 60mm including the butterfly.

A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.......

So, on a 58mm HO TB, he bores it to 60mm and leaves the butterfly at 58mm?

What happens with a 62mm TB from him?

IIRc he doesn't do above 60mm. Its how he keeps it easy and cheap and a quick mod. For a stroker jeep, it wouldnt be worth it but on a street xj, it does good at high rpm you can feel it a lil

I put "true" 60mm throttle bodies on Renix Jeeps as 60mm is the intake manifold size. Work great.

Why would someone spend resources to put a 60mm throttle body, with a 58mm butterfly, on a manifold that would accept a 62mm throttle body as on an HO?

Leigh was back logged when I contacted them. Check out jeepers and creepers. They have a machined 62mm aluminum kit with plate.
