Yeah you'll be fine, you might have to down shift going up really long hills but other than that you'll be ok.

Personal preference really.. you.should be at.about 4.10 but its not a must. I've got 3.55 and while its not ideal and only turns like 1300 at 60 I'm not doin it cause I'm waiting for an 8.8.

True.true.....drive it as is.... you could go 4.56 if you want.... if you're planning on going bigger then 31 for serious wheeling I would wait and swap the axle. If your.planning on keeping that set up then by all means lock it and throw 4.10 or 4.56. Feel it out. You won't hurt anything.

Haha good luck to all you chumps that are trying to fit 31's stock. I spent 200 a piece and I have 3 inch lift on mine and it still rubs. My tires are missing chunks out from the lcas. This can be fixed with more back space. But more back space means even if you try to flex a little your destroying your fenders. But hey. I'm just telling from experience. What do I know right?

Bump stops are the rubber snubbers (lol) in the middle of your.springs attached to the.top of your fenderwells that limit axle articulation by physically stopping the axle from moving any higher up.

Ahhh bumpstops!? Why hadn't I thought of that? Just giving you a hard time. Here in lies the problem with your solution, when I put my 31's on a wider rim with more back space I had maybe 3-4 inches of up travel. Now if you wheel your Jeep and suspension articulation is important to you, this would be a real problem. Because if you bump stop that's all you get. Just throwing that out there.

So say your only a guy who wheels 2x a month and installs 31x10.50s on his 96 xj and uses bumpstops. Big deal?

Ehh not unless your doing some rock crawlin. Once your suspension ceases to cycle the Your body has to tilt. High center or gravity and tilting result In a rollover. If you keep stock rims and trim your front air dam ,2 inches and 31's would be fine if you can learn not to lock your steering while turning.

This Chump has been running 31s quite happily for some time now.

You need to trim but for us chumps who like not flipping over on an incline we just trim and smooth out our wheel wells. I also run WJ control arms.

But hey I'm just telling you from experience.
