Trying to decide between a few different options for a tie rod upgrade. Im looking for the best, and most affordable. So far my options are:
Iron Man 4x4: 1.25" solid stock, $153 shipped
Iron Rock Offroad: 1.25" solid stock, $136 shipped
Rubicon Express: Can't find size measurements, $164 shipped
All have TRE's included with that price. I would have considered the Rough Country tie rod but its DOM and still more expensive than the IRO rod. I know about the ZJ swap, i ran it on my last XJ but i dont mind spending the money on aftermarket.
Side note, i ran the IRO rod on my last XJ as well and loved it, just wanted to see what else is out there before i made my decision again. Thanks guys.

wouldn't waste my money on anything that isn't crossover. or at least gets rid of ****ty y-link setup. otherwise why not just pick up a zj tie rod new for like $60?

I was thinking about it but have no need for upgrading to 1 ton. I need new ends on my steering and instead of replacing with oem id rather upgrade. Thats the only reason im buying a new rod. Crossover steering is overkill for me.

all you're getting is bigger ends and a tie rod that wont bend right? thats what the zj upgrade is for

I know the ZJ is a good cheap upgrade. Its 1" od with bigger ends but if i went with something like the IRO rod its 1 1/4" solid and the ability to swap out both ends. I dont like that the zj's right side tre is the entire bar. Makes it a pita to swap out a bad end. If i find a super cheap deal on one i plan on picking it up but in the mean time i want input on the 3 bars i listed.
Anyone else?

that's how I got mine. if you're going to stick with the ****ty stock setup why not do it for as cheap as possible
if you're gonna spend money at least switch it to inverted-t. anything is better than the y-link design
