Like that a lot. Do you remember exactly which U-Pol Raptor liner you used. Poking around seems like there are two(?) differnet blacks:

And did you use the Acid 8 and Grip 4 stuff I am seening?

I like that looks excellent. Whats the prep like?

I don't have a big compressor is that an issue?

I honestly can't remember which one I used, but I think it was the 0825. I just used acetone to prep, then in some places I used a cheap etching primer from Home Depot

Prep was the biggest part. First tape everything off, it has a lot of overspray. Next sand the paint to scuff it up. Try not to go through the paint. If you do go through the paint use some etching primer to cover the bare metal. Clean the area with acetone very well to remove all dust, the acetone will also etch the sanded paint a little more. Then spray once dry.

I had a a small air compressor. The biggest thing is pressure. You can only spray within a specific pressure range, too high or low and the liner turns out uneven. The compressor I used had no regulator on it so I had a buddy watch the pressure. Right when the pressure hit its optimum level he told he to go, then he told me to stop when it dropped to the lower end of the range. You then let the pressure build back up and go again. We just kept the compressor running the whole time because we needed as much air as we could get. I believe we put 2-3 coats on and I still have plenty left over.

One more thing to note. Don't drive it for 24 hours. I was dumb enough to drive it the next day and the coat hadn't fully cured yet so the edge by the door seem started to peel back from the wind. I had to touch it up, which is also easy, just used a cheep paint brush and tried to match the texture. The area was small enough that you can't even notice any problem.

Hope this helps!

I appreciate your input!

Still wanting to see more peoples rigs and diff products. In the gallery i see lots of people doing some kind of protection to their rocker panels . But not many threads about what they used and how they did it ....

Keep em coming folks.
