Being this is your first post,I'll play.
IMO 37/38,s are pushing the limits of a 44/9 combo. You could use chromoly shafts, might help-especially if it's a mall crawler.
If you plan on going with 37's that means you really want to run 40's or 44's one day.Just do it right/once & go tons & be done.No sense wasting money just to do it again later.BTW,You're looking @ 2-5k per axle-depending on if you build verses buying.
GOOD LUCK.

in before claims of running 37s on stock axles
build a set of tons, as in a dana 60 front and a dana 60, sterling 10.5, or 14 bolt rear. give it a little time, ktmracer will probably post up his famous broken dana 44 parts pic from running 35s and 37s. 37s are pushing the limits of a 44, so just play it safe and go with a 60, the price difference isn't that much anyways.

HP44 front and 9" rear.....that's "ADVANCE+ TECH" for a post count 1 poser.
Your best bet would be pirate4x4.

I'd honestly stick with the 8.25 and just go with 35s. It's not always about how big your tires are. And as long as you build the front axle and rear axle you should be ok running 35s. I mean really what do we need 40s for??

Obviously you wanna go big, right? Without the sarcasm, you should run 60's with 37"+ tires. My d44 rear & d30 with chromoly runs my 35"just fine. It all depends how hard you gonna ride also.
