Dana 60 rear depends if its full float or semi float.A semi float 37s a full float maybe 40s but a dana 60 rear is rare to find today most stopped using them in the 70s for a dana 70.A oem ford 9 inch if we are talking 28 spline 35s a 31 spline 37s you gotta remember a 9 inch was only used in 1/2 ton trucks.I would go ford dana 60 front and full float gm 14 bolt rear.Or you can use the sterling rear end out of the same ford truck. And remember the super duty ford trucks changed lug patterns and went from locking hubs to unit bearings.

I found this website that you can custom order axles for a bunch of vehicles and there fairly cheap ish. Except the comp series nine inch. Semi float is 3100$ and full float is 3900$. Dana 44 rear was like 1200 the ford 8.8 was 645$. I thought they were fairly cheap. It's called east cost gear supply. Which brings me to my next question. A Dana 489? I've never heard of it myself.

You can get used axles gm 14 bolt full float and a ford dana 60 maybe a grand to 1500 depending where you live.If you pay a shop to swap in lockers the gears you want and install the axles your probably around the same price you pay for a bolt in front and rear axle from east coast gear but have a lot stronger axles. From east coast gear two axles bare basic as you can order then and shipping your looking 5 to 6 grand i bet.Shipping alone is 200 a axle more if you want it dropped at your house vs you picking it up at a shipping hub which is cheaper.Call a few off road shops ask how much they charge to install lockers and gears and how much to install 1 ton axles on a xj.
