Default axle sawp question

axle sawp question; looked thru junk yard swap pages and search was no help, I found a dana 30 axle with old man emu stuff, a heavy duty steering setup not sure of manufacture, with an ARB locker in it also slotted and drilled rotors. my question is the owner says it is a direct bolt in for the xj ( sorry came off a 2003 tj) is this true as far width/mounts ect? thank you BOB

Yes, TJ and XJ are direct swap.

The PO on my rig dropped is into before I bought, and I just swapped it out for a HP30 from the JY.

If it says TJ, it'll fit an XJ. Same goes for axle shafts. Just double check it is a driver's side drop. A lot of people "think" they have TJ axle, but it is passenger drop.

An upgrade for you would be to replace it with a HPD30 from a 99 and down XJ.

I would regaer both ends to 4.10,also wondering would my brake calipers work on the 2003 tj dana 30 straight up?? the reason I am looking at this axle is the one ton steering setup on it ,but mostly the ARB that is already installed. I have a 2000 xj if that helps on the brake question. it also has an ome steering stab and adjustable track bar with drilled and slotted rotors; both of which are minor to me but they are there

possible other option is put that arb in my existing axle that I know there would be no brake or control arm bracket problems.
thanks for all the reply's all
