ok so I really got to thinking and after doing some wheeling and some soul searching I just bought a set of dana 60's out of a 79 ford. the front has new bearings, seals, and rotors for me to instal. It's a driverside drop reverse cut(I have no idea what that means) kingpin. I am checking the laws here in PA to see if I would still be legal if I left them as is... full width. I'm not sure if I'm ready to make it a dedicated trail rig yet. I get the axles this weekend. I knew if I went 44's I would have wanted to go bigger. 35's seem so small I want to go into the 40's.

NICE! Look into H1 wheels to keep your backspacing. Trail ready sells recentered wheels and all H1 accys.
How far are you from rausch creek? We will be there July 26-28th

Reverse cut means that the spiral of the gear is cut the opposite or reverse of a rear axle. This is so in a front axle application the pinions force is on the convex side of the ring gear. The convex side is stronger than the concave side. The convex side is the proper drive side.
All high pinion fronts are reverse cut.low pinion fronts drive on the weaker side or what would be the coast side in a rear application.
July 26-28 at rausch should be awesome. Our local forum SIS offroad does a benefit for troops over seas called OER, and Ntc is there as well. Should be a lot of fun. I'll be wheeling Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
