ax5 to ax15

ax5 to ax15
I have 2 Cherokees in my garage one is a 1995 with the 4.0 ax15 manual trans, the other is a 1996 with the 2.5 ax5 manual trans. Can I swap the trans and transfer case into the 96. The 95 has a broken frame and the 96 has a bad case.

You can swap the transfer cases themselves but you'll need to change the input gear over as the AX-5 has a 21-spline output whereas the AX-15 has a 23-spline output.
