Auto -> 5spd,, clutch cut out switch?

Auto -> 5spd,, clutch cut out switch?
Working on my Auto to 5 speed. (2001 XJ)
When I pulled the peddle assembly from a 1998 at the Junk Yard, I noticed the clutch master had 2 wires, I assume it is a switch, to let the computer know the clutch is pressed?
Should I rig the auto's wiring harness "neutral safety switch" wiring to the clutch master cylinder switch?
Anyone done this yet, that could give me some insite?
