Default Aussie Locker Reviews

I just recently purchased a Chrysler 8.25 29 spline for a decent price. I figured before I threw it in I'd beef it up right and tight. Built the truss, putting a decent diff guard on it, etc. My Cherokee is my daily driver that I wheel from time to time, so I can't have a true locker but need something that'll give me a little more traction on the trail. I came across the Aussie Locker XD-58229 which is a high-performance posi unit. Its costs less than half as much as everything else I've seen. $300! Best of all its made in the U.S. It all sounds too good to be true. There were no reviews on the site, so I was hoping that someone on here might have it or know someone who does and tell me how it performs, durability, longevity, and how install went. Was it worth the money or should I spring for something more? Thanks in advance!

An Aussie isn't a posi. If you're on the gas pedal. It's locked. I run Aussies front and rear on my xj

In turns:

The slower (inner) wheel will lock since the cross shaft will push on the cam and force engagement of the axle gear teeth.

The outer wheel should be able to unlock since the cam will outrun the cross shaft and release pressure.
