I have one of the cheap ones as well. I just let a guy from work borrow it tonight so he could see if would work in his Ford F something diesel.

I have a couple things to monitor it with, ie: Laptop, Android tablet, Windows tablet, etc. I like the ability to run the logs and evaluate critical systems, etc.


Looking for up to the minute performance and historical (read: track the kids speed, where-abouts, etc.)

Pretty stoked about getting this thing in...

Yup, the only issue with tracking the kids speed and where-abouts is your tablet/phone/laptop has to be synced with it while it's out and about.

It'd be ideal to hide an old phone somewhere in the vehicle for that purpose.
