Default "MUST DO MODS" during an engine swap ?

so I am swapping out my 4.0 on my 92 2dr. sport with a new RE-built engine and am trying to figure out what all I will be upgrading in the process,,,,i am probably gonna swap fuel injectors, mabby a snorkel for intake, mabb an upgraded exhaust and intake manifold.....I am just looking for other ideas ,,,the "while im in there I might as well______." stuff , any help will be great thanks

having my motor out would have made these a lot easier
ford Taurus fan

motor mounts
o-rings on oil filter mount
trans oil cooler

What trany are you running, if an auto may be check your flex plate ,stick, look at your clutch and throwout

Which mounts are you going with? Looking at crackhead auto I see some for $5 and some for $80 and some for $130.

Just did the throwout and clutch 2 months ago, and I was just gonna get the heavy duty one from oreilys unless someone has a better suggestion?

Clutch depends on what sort of wheel you do. For a stock power 4.0L a stock LUK or CenterForce should be fine.

In addition to nice mounts like Brown Dog I'd definitely do a header and beef up the exhaust to 2.5" piping the whole way. Good high-flow cowl intake and fuel injectors (703s) as well.

You can clean and paint the engine bay with it out also.

Definitely do an upgraded exhaust header w/ a good gasket. I would go felpro gaskets on everything while you are at it.
