In this thread: http://www.xjtalk.com/showthread.php?t=5646 (great info in there btw)... I read that the WJ rear lower control arms can be used in the front of an XJ as they are about 2" longer. I measured some at the junkyard today and they are about 2.25" longer so I might go grab a set this weekend and put them in my XJ with 6.5" of lift, I also have adjustable uppers that ill put in.

Anyone else using the WJ rear lca's??

IF they are the correct length you need, then they should work.

Hmm after looking at this chart I found Im wondering if the WJ arms are too long at their 18 or so inches. This chart calls for about 17.25" at 6.5" lift... opinions?

Honestly, at that height you really should consider CAD brackets. Will bring your arm angles closer to stock. And depending on the length of LCAs you are using now, you may be able to run them with the bracket.
Or, if you can afford it.. long or mid) arms.

Yes there to long and the other is a stock control arm with a lot of stress on them at that height= (not real safe) buy some drop brackets and(lower control arms) or a suspension upgrade kit.

IIRC you use the rear uppers for front lowers and they are only about 1/2" longer.

Ok right on, WJ rear uppers?

Im also hoping to get a long arm kit soon but funds are lacking right now so I was hoping to do a junkyard upgrade like this to try and push that diff forward a bit. Im at 4.5" right now but going up to 6.5" this week. Dont want to waste money CAD brackets at this point...

there are no wj rear uppers. its a big triangular trailing arm that mounts to the axle on top of the housing at one point.

I am using ZJ lower rears up front in my Xj with 5" of lift. They work great, but I had to have adj. uppers. They are about an inch longer than stock.
