The crossover pipe, installed on a typical "V" engine "widens and lengthens" the torque curve. It also mellows the sound as a side effect. Smaller and more crossovers are better, down to about 1 inch and by using multiple crossovers, to a point, widens the curve even more.

I run a pair of their muffler and their x-pipe on my 66 gt... can't wait to get the money together to do full new exhaust header to tail, definitely running spin tech. Their muffler are SUPER heavy duty.

I'm confused but here check out their website. http://www.spintechmufflers.com/ All their stuff is top quality. I coated my muffler and x-pipe on the mustang. Everythings I've gotten from them is heavy guage steel.

What would be the best setup for the 2.5 to make it sound mean?

On a 2.5... I'd go for a flowmaster10 or a glass pack...it will be loud but mean as hell
