The hanger that is welded before the cat (one right above the cross member) broke off my exhaust, how should I go about fixing this so that the exhaust stops hitting the cross member when I am driving?

hey, i had trouble finding the answer to my question so here goes, i am putting a new motor in and want to get upgraded headers and all new everything all the way back.
my question is, what do i do with the two small cats that were on the far end of the headers and the O2 sensors that belong to them. do i have to replace those cats or can i cut them out of the system?
and either way what brands are preferred for headers and cat. i think i want flowmaster 44 or 40 not sure yet.
thanks a bunch

Okay I'll ask again...
I have no cat, a new muffler and pipe (unknown brand) but without cat it sounds healthy to say the least...
with that...
what cat would you recommend?? I also need the sensor, good online source??
yeah I could read/search even more threads but since this is a sticky here it goes...
advice??
