Question for all you guys with thrush mufflers. How did you do it? Buy a muffler with an offset outlet? Or rotate the muffler so it was upside down? Guy at Monroe muffler claimed I needed a different one than what I had.. I got suspicious when he tried to sell me a $115 "performance muffler"

Hey guys, I have an exhaust cutout and I want it to be loud, I wanna run it in between the cat in the muffler the problem is it won't be very loud, now that said it will be louder then my quiet flow ss, here's the questions,
1, is there a way of providing back pressure without decreasing the noise level
2, is there anyway to run it after the cat and make as loud as if the cat isn't there but still functioning...
I would just like to say I will not run the system without a cat.
Would a high flow cat provide what im looking for?

Plus when you get old like me it's nice to be real quiet and just kind of cruise, but every once in awhile there's that guy next to you at the stoplight that ruins it ha ha, then you get a speeding ticket, and the cop tells you you're lucky for not getting a racing ticket ha ha

Something manual like this would probably work though.

Cut outs are fine on street cars but if you wheel your Jeep they will only be good for a short period of time. After a couple times through the mud the electronics are going to stop working or the metal is going to warp and they won't function properly anymore. Ive been down that road with my old 95. Ended up putting a 10 series on it.
