And besides if flow is an issue to you just run a high flow cat, at least that way you'll be legal and have better flow, you could even jump up a size on the cat but you don't want to remove it completely.

Looking at buying the flowmaster 44 package from performance curve and wanted to know if this catalytic converter would be a good fit to go with it? It's about have the length compared to the stock one that I have now and wanted to know if it would affect anything in a negative way?

When I bought my 98 XJ, the PO had installed a cherry bomb "muffler" and I hate the sound of this thing! It's too loud and annoying. I plan to eventually replace it with something a little more subtle. I want a little bit of rumble but when I step on the gas I don't want it screaming! What's the best option?

My fm40 is a little loud in the cab so that's something to consider. It's got a really nice tone and sound outside the Jeep, though, so it depends on what you want. All told if I had it to do over I would go with an FM50.

Like crap. I would compare it to a chinese tractor. If money's an issue, O'reilley's sells raptor mufflers for like 20 bucks. Otherwise Flowmasters and magnaflows both sound pretty good.

Be prepared to tighten your hangers/pipe connectors SUPER tight and to retighten them again after a hundred miles or so. As any new bolt, they will come loose a couple of times till they settle in.
Hope these pics help and if you have any questions, just ask.
BTW, if you are on the fence about pulling the trigger...do it. You wont find a better deal.

Is there any benefit to moving my cat forward before the crossmember? I'm thinking of changing the overall tone by shortening the distance from header to muffler any information on this is greatly appreciated
