I was looking at running some sort of hybrid, like RK coils, Currie arms, and OME leaves, but I'm unsure of how people like the RK and Currie stuff, as I haven't seen much about their products. Does anyone know if they're good, or have any better alternatives?
Currie is probably the highest quality jeep parts builder there is. RK has some super super high prices. Ome makes great leaves. Your plan sounds great, but is go with different coils if the rk ones are more than 150 for the set. RE 3.5 is perfect for 33s it's a very common combo.

looking to get a long arm for my 2000 xj this week. rough country 6.5 long arm with the 2.0 shocks is ~1500 shipped to my door. Rubicon Express through a buddy of mine is ~2000 with bilstein's. Is the Rubicon Express 500 better than the rough country? I would love some feed back from people running either of these lifts. Cheers

I've never ran either of them, but I've heard such bad reviews about rough country that I wouldn't stand putting them under my jeep. Rubicon Express is considered one of the best lifts for the money without going too overboard. Save your pennies and get the RE kit, you'll be much happier.

The bilsteins are nicer shocks than the rough country ones, rubicon express is considered near the top of the pile when it comes to lift company's for xjs, rough country is considered near, if not at the bottom. If you can swing the extra 500, do it.

The only thing worth a crap from RC is their coil springs, which they don't make, I have the 2.0 shocks on my baby Jeep but just because they're cheap.

I'd never pay for a set of their full leaf packs. They're crap.

Id go with what youe buddy can get, quality and build aside, that sounds like a damn good deal. Throw in the fact it will come with bilsteins and its a no brainer.

I have a bunch of RC stuff, (LA kit, coils, brake lines, sye kit, shackle reloc) I'm SO glad I don't have their leaves after hearing everyones issues with them. I'd say avoid the leaf springs like herpes.

Well, let me rephrase. Everything they have is fine except their track bar and leaf springs.

Yeah, I'm definitely getting Currie arms. I'd rather not get the RE3.5 since it can sit up around 4"-5" which I don't want. I want to stay low. I can get the RK coils for 128, but if there's a better alternative, I'll do that. For leaves, I really like OME, so I may stick with them.

Well, yeah. All that stuff too.

I bought the 3" kit with shocks and a AAL. I plan to rebuild a pack shortly so the AAL will do until then.
