How's everyone?
Quick question for you guru's.
I have a 96 XJ 4dr, with a RC 3" lift with AAL's, sitting on AT 30's.

I would like to piece together about 2" more lift.

Should I just add 2" spacers up front and some shackles in the rear? I would like a little smoother of a ride, so I was thinking about buying some Rustys 4.5" leaf pack.

If I do the shackles, should I also do shackle relocation brackets? Where's the best place to buy them?

I'm thinking I also need to do LCA drop brackets, correct?

My main goal is to achieve 4.5"-5" of total lift.

I'd get 4.5 inch leaf packs, and spacers in front. You'll need shocks, adjustable track bar, brake lines, you don't NEED control arm drop brackets, but they will improve ride quality and suspension travel. You will need at least longer lower control arms.

Brake lines, shocks, spacers/shackles, relocation brackets, SYE, CAD brackets or longer control arms, track bar.

A 4.5" pack will be much nicer than your RC AAL, but shocks will play a huge role in comfort level.

Right on, shocks, adjustable trac bar and adjustable LCA's. I can do that.

Wouldn't CAD brackets reduce ground clearance?

Like Tim said, you'll more than likely need an sye and new cv drive shaft.

Yes, but they're the cheap alternative to long arms. Most of the lost ground clearance is between the tires, so it isn't a major problem.

Marginally, but they are more of a help than a hindrance. If you've got the money get some long arms, for a little more money than a good set of cads and upper and lower lcas, you can get a long arm setup and never have to worry about changing control arms to change lift height again.
