You got a vague response because you obviously made no effort to figure it out for yourself.

Had you taken the time that it took to post here, read my post then reply with your smart response you could have found that 06 Rubicon shocks are 21" extended 13" compressed for the front and 19.96" Extended & 12.8" compressed for the rear.

Stock XJ shocks are 21.25" extended 13.0" collapsed for the front, 21.5" extended 13.4" collapsed for the rear.

Now, you have the information needed because I took 5 minutes out of my busy schedule to answer you. It seems that they are, in fact, very close to the same as the shocks that you already have.

You can contact your fellow Craigslist buddy and arrange a meeting time.

I'm glad that I had the opportunity to assist you today, Sir.

Have a nice day.
Awwww, what a nice guy....lol

They both will sag your stock spring pack over time. If you have newer good condition spring pack I'd say go shackle. If its worn out a little more go with add a leaf but just k ow its better to do it with newer firmer packs rather than the factory sagging equipment.

If you plan on replacing you worn springs get a good set that will last. You get what you pay for and rough country tend to sag quickly.

Those will work perfect, you will also need bushings, which are on that same page. But they make a full 2 inch lift kit with shocks coils and leafs.

Most complain about death wobble with Aal and a bad spring angle with shackles. I would go with shackles.

Are new shocks needed with a 2" lift? Ive been under the impression there not and with a limited budget id rather not spend money on something thats not needed then
