Would a new tire amongst 3 old tires, so there is significant tread height difference be the cause of a vibration around 45 mph but it goes away at like 50

Budget lift kit is already installed on the cherokee I am buying. It is spacers in front, and a wedge in the back. Is this ok for a lift for a while? I want to replace springs and schocks. it is running BFG 30x9.5x15

doubtful. its most likely an unbalanced tire like that. or a misalignment. itll only get worse.

What Shirley said. But it isn't good to run XJs with different sized tires. I'd suggest keeping the odd size on the front and not using 4WD until your tires match. Using different tire sizes is a good way to break stuff.

i think he means 3 bald tires and 1 with good tread. either way thatll ruin drive trains.

youre metric size would be 265/75r16 (31.6x10.4)

Hey guys, I recently bought a 96 cherokee classic and I'm currently trying to figure out what kind/what brand of lift kit I should buy. Everything is stock on my jeep, and i am looking for something that will make my jeep have more of an aggressive stance and enable me to do some occasional off-roading while keeping it my daily driver. From my research, I know I want a 3-4 inch lift and I want to stay away from long arm kits because I understand they can make the ride sketchy at high speeds and i'll be driving on the highway. Right now, I have about $500 to spend on a kit but, I am willing to wait until I have more funds available if the right kit costs more. I don't want to go the cheap route and end up spending more in a year. I'm looking for the most bang for my buck.
I found this Trailblazer kit through Rocky Road Outfitters that provides a 4" lift, costs $914 (with shipping) and includes:

Old Man Emu replacement rear leaf springs.
Old Man Emu replacement front coils.
Long Travel shocks.
Polyurethane coil spacers.

Avoid any kit that has blocks. Blocks=bad.
Add a leaf is slightly better. But go full leaf and shackle.

You definitely want to stay away from blocks and AAL's... AAL's are definitely better than blocks, but you'll end up having to replace them quickly because they will only end up sagging back to what your current leaf packs are sagging at and making the ride worse.

Here's a couple of options in the price range you had mentioned... they provide a 3" lift with replacement coils and full leaf packs and they both include shocks.

If you decide to go with a budget boost, go with a kit that has coil spacers and shackles.

Blocks can cause axle wrap and leaf spring breakage... they're alright if your jeep never sees off road or any heavy acceleration.

So basically 265/75 or 235/85 is my tire then...seems those are much more common...anyone every bought from discount tire direct?

I am reading that blocks in the back are hard on your axle. Coil spacers are ok. I think the shocks are OEM and have 200K miles on them. I think replacing the shocks right away and getting rid of the blocks are my 1st order of business. What is a good replacement leaf spring? OME has the best ride reviews, I do not want to go over 2" of lift.

Has anyone bought form 4x4group buy? I like the price and the mix of there Old Man Emu 2" lift kit. OME springs and shocks a T Case drop and JKS quickie disconnects. I am not so interested in the disconnects but, it is part of the kit.
