So Im thinking about getting a sye kit. Im only at three inches of lift, but that wont be there for long. Is it going to hurt anything to have it on there before I get up to 4.5? Also what else do I need to get along with a sye kit? How hard are they to install?
Nevermind... new CV driveshaft right?
Ok so what about a transfer case drop kit. Disadvantages? Do you have to have a crossmember or is that just a clearance thing? A drop kit would be a temp fix for the sye problem right?

How much lift do I got?! Ok here's the deal, I got the jeep from a guy who wrecked it, who bought it with the lift already on it. The thing has rusty's s300 coils with about 3" of poly spacers. Six inches? I would think. Not sure what brand leafs out back with a 2" block, factory shackles. Anyway of telling what leafs they are? The fenders are cut and it is on 33x12.50x15 mud tires with good clearance . I was assuming 6" of lift but after looking around at some others on here It really looks close to 4.5" lift. ???? I guess I could try and post some pics?

your front shaft is a cv type shaft, it has the double cardon joint..
go to the junkyard and pull one.
Rough country is a lower brand and if thats all you can afford than fine but if you can swing good stuff(RE, TNT, Clayton) go for that!

So someone tell me what coil spring isnt gonna be so stiff. I want to be able to play with it, but I need the ride to be better than these super stiff springs
I bought the TuffCountry 3.5" and I am very pleased with it. I had to buy a 3/4" drop pitman arm and lower the TC and it rides very well on both highway and offroad.

I was thinking about upgrading my shocks to make this rough ride smoother. What I want to know is if it would hurt anything to just upgrade the front two and when I get around to it upgrade the back two. I really need to get this figured out and I actually did the search of the thread so and no one had asked this question before. If it doesnt hurt let me know which ones would really make things smoother for me?

Where have you been Zach? I thought you answered every question on this thread
I have found a set of 4" superlift springs from a guy here in the area, not so sure about the price yet but I think I am going to go with them, cause I have been wanting to up another inch. My question is this:
My shocks suck and Im gonna hit 4" lift so I can upgrade them. Im just gonna do the front two for now because that is where the roughness is coming from. I can go with a 4-5 or 4-6 inch lift shock and drop some dough on a good set. I have heard good things about the bilistein 5100 series and also the RE monotubes. Because Im military the Bilisteins are about the same price for the pair as the RE. Would this soften my ride and improve the handling. Im runnig the RC 9000 p.o.s's. All input and links would be appreciated. This is what Ive found so far:

I have a guy on naxja that says 150 a pair for the front one of RE shipped. Im not sure about the RC 2.2's but i cant find them in the pairs anyways. Does anyone know anything about any of this stuff? Need a better ride but need it to stand up to the offroading. The bilisteins have come recommended
