At 3.5 you deff should get an adjustable track bar. And some lower contol arms. You may need an sye as well. They are all different. My 97 has 2" and I get vibes but my buddys 97 has 3" and no vibes so you will have to lift and see. But track bar is a must and you really should get lca's bc it will flex better

It could be terrible if the tb let's go while your tooling down the road.
Ok so I got some pic today. If there's any specific pics you guys need let me know. I resized the images to meet requirements, but didnt see a max number of photos allowed in a post. Sorry in advance if there is.

The first 2 pics with the tape measure is of the pass side. the last 2 are the drivers side

IMO 4.5" is perfect for pretty much anything with the exception of deep mudding. Above that your jeeps center of gravity is off too much and can actually hinder performance instead of helping it. Also anything above 5" or so you start needing to replace UCAs, driveshafts, SYE, and brake lines at a minimum. Also the stock steering setup becomes almost useless.

I'm putting a 3 inch lift on my jeep and I was going to get a new track bar but I've heard that some people run stock track bar and it's not a problem. So how do I know if I absolutely have to get one? I don't do hardly any off roading or mudding

You don't have to get one but its gonna shift the axle to the drivers side a little. If ya have the money get a new tb. It's only gonna help

How big is the lift on that? And it looks like the tie rod is at a funny angle
