OK guys, I've got a bone stock 00 XJ Limited, I am looking at getting a 4.5" long arm lift. As of right now I am liking Rough Country and Rusty's lifts for the job. My XJ will be used primarily for on road use with some trail use, so I want it to have nice ride quality. I know it's a lifted jeep but the smoother the ride the better. Any info on these particular lifts or any recommendations for other 4.5" long arm kits in the same price range would be appreciated. Thanks for the help!

Death wobble comes from worn out steering parts, loose bolts, or improper steering setups.
An SYE helps with driveline vibes, usually (after a lift) caused by too steep of a rear driveshaft angle

I understand that and agree with you. Thanks. I guess what I meant is that many people consider any vibes to be death wobble even though it would be incorrect to call it that sometimes. Thanks again for clarification.
NewKind when I look on the Zone website I don't see any long arm kits for the XJ, and the rubicon express the long arm kits start at 5.5" which I know is only an inch taller than 4.5" but I really want to stick with a 4.5" lift. What do you think if I went with the Rubicon super ride 4.5 lift that's a short arm? Is a long arm kit gonna ride much better than the rubicon super ride short arm?

ok but pretty much I need to stay away from Rustys and Rough Country. You think Rubicon express is good, any other companies I should look at? I was really wanting long arm for off road performance as well as on road comfort. Do you think going short arm is gonna change the comfort level any? I'm sure other people have run Rusty's and Rough Country anyone care to chime in?

Very good point, but I wouldn't recommend buying a lift *kit* if you intend to run a LA upgrade kit such as Serious Offroad. At that point, I would piece everything together and get what you want for each part instead of only using half of a quality 4.5" kit.

Ok, I haven't been here for a while. I completed my 3.5 lift last year. now I'm looking at tires. I'm thinking 31's or 33's. but the question is will either of those fit the stock rims?

Both will fit, but you will have rubbing issues with the stock wheel backspacing. If you go 33" try 10.5 wide
