Mark the tires with chalk left to right and drive. See how the chalk gets wiped off. Adjust accordingly

If you have brand new tires you have the perfect opportunity to do the same thing with the casting pins/lugs whatever they're called. That's how I did mine and got 50-100 miles to figure it out before they were completely gone.

So my girlfriends uncle is setting me up with tires. The 2 options he gave me (even though I asked for A/T tires) are Firestone destination mt or Hankook dynaptic mt rt03.

So get one of them and have them sipped. Or ask again for A/T or maybe seasonals?

I like the idea of mud tires but I do so much driving on road so if the MT's sipped are gonna ware super fast then screw that.

Need some help here

Hankooks are amazing and wear pretty decent. I would NOT touch Firestones with an 80-foot stick they suck I had a set of the destination les on a Chevy s10 of mine wore them out in 2 months just driving around town. Sad part is the Destination LE is a highway train stalled car that had a 500 a b tread wear 45000 mile rating. Worst tire Iv ever wasted money on.

Well how are they sipped? When sipped on snow/ice? How do they wear?

Default getting new wheels/tires

im a long time jeep lover and owner but first time posting on here. ive recently gotten myself a 2000 xj (the fourth one ive owned and ive never modified any of them) id like to raise it up just a bit but i will be using it as my daily driver. i was advised to go with a cheap body lift. i love the way the xj looks when the rear sits up a little higher than the front so i went with a 1 in the front and 3 in the back. as far as the wheels and tires go, im not really looking to go too much taller than the stock... im more concerned about the width. i love how they look when the tire sticks out about 2 inchs outside of the fenders. again nothing crazy.. just giving the jeep that subtle extra something. anyone have any advice or recommendations? thanks for reading ill be posting more questions in regards to my 96 xj (future beach toy) and my 04 grand cherokee

I understand this. But I don't have many options and am in serious need of tires.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm 99.99% sure they don't make a "body lift" for a Jeep Cherokee because its a Unibody, so you can't lift the body off the frame. As for the tires sticking out, you can keep stock tires and use wheel spacers or buy wheels with a different offset. Stock offset I believe is 5", it seems like a lot of people either go with a 4" or 3.75" backspacing. And you could also remove the fender flares to make the tires look like they're sticking out father, just make sure to check your local laws before you do that.

Just look on craigslist for some wheels with 3.5"-4" of back spacing on your stock or slightly bigger tires (would go slightly bigger to offset the lift). Should be just what you're looking for. And you won't need to remove your fenders.
