3-3.5" front lift for a daily driver that will see very mild trails (if ever anything rougher than gravel roads).

The RC kit comes with new lcas. If u flex too much with stock lcas (only really with a disconnected sway bar) they will hit on the axle mounts. The rc ones are bent to prevent this.

Lol.. No, not really my question. All that matters is that the tires are all 33 inch tires, right? It won't matter if I get a narrower (33x10.5x15) to replace one of my 33x12.5x15's, right?

I would look into them simply as far as ride quality goes. My buddies rig without em has a noticeable difference than mine that do have em. (Both kits are the same other than this detail)

 

Are your bushings the same as his? Do your shocks have the same mileage as his? Are both of you jeeps weighted exactly the same? I would be shocked if you could feel the difference in ride quality from a stock control arm to an aftermarket control arm at the same lift height.

 

I've read enough bad things about RC, definitely have no interest in them. I want a good riding, true 3-3.5" kit with new leafs. Narrowed it down to OME, RE Super Ride, Rusty's or Zone.


Yeah I really don't see that either, I was just more curious about stock LCA strength under normal DD lift use.

 

his jeeps a little bit older we got the exact same kit put on with the exact same features except mine got control arms put on no longer than a month apart from each other. I'm not sayin ever bump on the road feels different but like potholes and ditches his is definitely more jarring

What kit are you referring to? Why did yours come with UCAs but his did not?

There's no significant change in geometry between a stock control arm and an aftermarket control arm at the height. It might be a little longer if anything, but again, you have to be a magician to feel the difference.

Course this is gonna raise some red flags lol but it's the rough country 3". I got LCAs and he didn't. Maybe his just rides shotty who knows.

 

I've heard no complaints about OME, but they ride taller than advertised. Same with Rubicon express. Both are great kits though. Get full leaf packs over an AAL which will wear out really quickly.

I and many other people here will not give a cent to Rusty's. His customer service is garbage and his steering components have a track record of failure.

 

There's 2 different kits like that. One includes the LCA's and one doesn't, but other than that they shouldn't ride different

 

Jerrythejeep- thanks for that info. I'll steer clear of Rustys then. Now down to 3 choices!
Also I'm definitely going with full leafs, I currently have a RE 2.5" AAL in just so I can get by with hauling stuff until time to do the full kit. My springs are so sagged I'm only about 1" up in the rear with the AAL.
