Can I fit 235/75/15 tires on my stock 2001 jeep Cherokee sport without getting a lift. Every tire website is telling me I'm plus sizing my tires. Just wondering because my the tires on it now are 225's not 235's and I'm just trying to get something a little bigger under there.

Depending on wheel backspacing and bumpstops, they might rub your flares in the rear. I run 4in bs and they rub a little when its loaded down or hit a big bump, but with stock wheels or 4.5 or less you should be just fine. if not jusy adjust your bumpstops, but you will have no trouble at all with them.

Hey, i plan on lifting my 2000 jeep cherokee sport and putting 33x12.5x15 duratracs on it, can i clear with out trimming my flares on a 4.5 inch rc lift because i like the look of the flares, it will only be a daily driver, no off roading or major flexing. If i do have to trim, how much and will it be very noticable and wear, also if i do use that lift what else will i have to get to make it work and how much at the cheapest? Private message me with answers please, sorry to ask so much but started lifting today and ran into alot of problems

If you measure properly and bumpstop your axles, 4.5" will be fine, and I think you can get away with just trimming the edges of the flares at the bottom. Wait for confirmation on that.

A 33x10.50R15 will fit on a 4.5" lift with stock wheels with zero trimming.
Leave the sway bars on and keep it on the pavement and you'll never have an issue.
You may have to adjust steering stops to keep the tires from rubbing the control arms.

ummm..... mallcrawler? haha who puts that much work into a Cherokee and doesn't offroad it? but you will still rub pretty bad if you hit any bumps. If you bump stop it correctly you will only get an inch or two of travel, you'd be better off buying 32s of another make.

So I have another question. I FINALLY cut the bolts and leaf springs that were giving me problems during my lift install since all bolts were seized to the bushings and would just turn in place. I've purchased new hardware but have realized that all the weld nuts are stripped so I can't even thread the new bolts into the frame to get the leaf springs on. Does anybody have ideas? I've searched the forum and have come across a few great ideas but most would require me to weld which I do not have experience or even own a welder to begin with. However if I absolutely have to I'm pretty sure I could pick up one of the cheap harbor freight welders.

If the threads are strip, get a tap and dye set
If the welded nut is broken, cut a big enough hole to get a Cresent wrench up there.

What can I do about this without having to get relocation brackets?? Rides like a dump truck in the rear, yes sway bar is still in. 3" zone lift full leaf pack. '00 xj 2wd, auto.
