Aggressive looking tires but mostly road
There is no comparison between the old BFG TA KO and the current BFG TA KO2. The KO2 is a totally different and a much improved tire. I'm currently running the KO2s on both my XJ and my 07 Siverado 2500HD Duramax and have no complaints.
I would add that I have been running all my tires with balancing beads rather than static wheel weights for over 25 years and 500,000 odd miles, I can wear out a set of tires and they will run as smooth at the end of the tread life as they are new. When I purchased my XJ in Oct 19 it had about 15,000 miles on the KO2s and there was a slight tire thump at hiway speed. One of the first things I did was to remove the stick on tape weights and install balancing beads which immediately smoothed out the ride and after a couple hundred miles the tire thump was gone.
