hey guys,
I am i no need for new tires yet but when the time comes i would like to spring for a more agressive tire. I am running all terrain prospectors right now and was wondering what tire you would suggest for more aggression? I use the jeep on the road every day but also take if off road ( trails, little mud, lil rocks) so i dont mind hearing the tires on the road but nothing ridiculous. Also my tire now are 10.5" wide and if i get new tires i would like to go a half inch bigger, will i need to change/purchase anything to make this happen?
thanks for the help

My next tires will prolly be Cooper Discovery STT's. My friend had them, and said that had almost no road hum. They look nasty, and are a mud terrain so they have great grip. And I'm not sure if you can get an 11 inch tire, but I may be wrong.

Towards the OP 15" rims are getting to be a pain to get tires in. Good luck finding decent tires with those rims in a 32x11.50 you will be better suited finding 31x10.50s or jumping to 33x12.50s

Keep in mind that wider tires spread the weight of the vehicle out and float on the surface, whether its roads, mud, snow etc. Sometimes having a low pound per square inch ratio is good but my jeep performs much better with 10.50s than it did with 12.50s. Dont get me wrong I love monster tires but wider isnt always better. The top photo tires are 33x12.50x15s the bottom photo is of my 32x10x17s. The 32s are 32.05 inches tall, ten inches wide and the 33s are 32.48 inches tall, 12.5 inches wide. They are both BFG M/T KMs but the skinny tire way out performs the wide one, Ive hade 4 sets of BFG's and they wear great. Looks of course is a different story...

Make sure to have at least twice as tall tire as rim height, as in 15 inch rim at least a 30 inch tall tire, 16 inch, 32 inch tire, 17 inch, 34 inch tall tire.
At least if you use it on trails.

Guess, you should have included the tire size not just the tire width. With the tires size it would be easier to figure out what if anything you would need to go to a wider tire. I don't think you can go to an 11 inch wide tire as most tires are either 10.5, 11.5, 12.5, or 13.5, etc.
