If you were going to go over the knuckle and that is all you were going to do on that end, I would get a drag link from the UK for a right hand drive XJ, flip that and use a tapered sleeve in the steering arms, use a V8 ZJ tie rod which would be flipped too and then just lower the track bar mount. Much simpler and cost effective I think
As far as steering stabilizers go, I haven't used one in years. If everything is tight with proper geometry and castor, you really don't need one. They put them on at the factory for a band aid in case things get a little loose

I'm thinking of getting the rough country long arm kit. It looks solid and fits in my budget.
Scratch and sniff hahaha. Point taken and absolutely understood, but that's heckin funny.

One other thing. After you do that, you need to address the track bar, which Jeep universally under engineers. I would get everything but that done, mount whatever drop pitman arm you want. ZJ is a 1" drop. Then contact Mark at DetoursUSA. He can make you up a mount to drop the frame end whatever needs to be done. I haven't talked to him in awhile, but he used to do some custom work
So I'm in the middle of doing everything on here that we talked about. Adjustable control arms are in. Knuckles are drilled and the new tapered inserts are welded in. Come to find the "RHD" drag link I bought is literally the same part I'm taking off. So naturally the bend at the end goes the wrong way. To top it off I can't find any XJ drag links that are different. So I'm wondering. Can I use this?

I know it's for a wrangler but it bends the right way and far as I know there aren't any differences in threading or the taper on the knuckles. Steering stabilizer might not fit but I'm not really that worried about that.
or better yet if you know where to source an actual RHD drag link let me know.

If the bend is the same and the tie rod end oriented the same way, then no. But then again, it is not the right part
That's the thing. On this wrangler part the bend is opposite when the tie rod is oriented upwards. So when I flip it, it would bend outward where the stock bar bends inward. So that part seems like it would work. I'm just wondering if y'all knew something I didn't on the rod ends or the collar threads that would be no bueno. Or overall length for that matter.

What tapperd inserts did you use. You welded them in.
Why not weld up a steering track bar set up

And I'm using these. The fit the stock TRE sizes perfectly.

Ok so you are putting stock steering over the knuckle. Im starting to understand. But barely as the stock steering in so many ways sux even on a stock rig.
if its bolted to the rig and in serviceable condition leave it alone while parts are gathered to upgrade as the need or want arises. It always does
Chrysler ran it till 2008 on the dodge pickups jeep has also gone away from it but not sure when they did
