Adj Track Bar? Relocation Bracket? New Hole?
Well, I'm about to start the lift on my front end (3" RC kit) I know I'm doing it backwards from what most do, but my rear springs were so shot I just felt better doing them first.
My question is.... should I buy an adjustable track bar? a relocation bracket? or just drill a new hole @ 3/4" off center of the stock hole?
I'd like to have everything tracking properly and don't want to have problems when I take it to be aligned. I'm leaning towards new track bar, but how accurate is the 3/4" hole thing? and does anyone have experience with track bar relocation brackets? I think skyjacker sells one. They're like $20-$30

I think your best bet would be the standard adj. trackbar that Rough Country sells. On there site it is listed at $99, but if you call them and tell them I sent ya, you will get a great discount.

just talked to Jason over at RC and he said no need for anything with just a 3" lift... maybe I've just been reading stuff for 4" +
anyone have experience with needing/not needing to relocate the track bar on a 3" ?
I guess I'll just install everything and see how it looks. I was just thinking that if its off even a slight amount they won't be able to align the jeep properly at a shop

ant time you lift a suspension system with a track bar it pullthe front axle over to the side the trac bar is mounted to the fram plain and simple look at how far you drivers tire sticks out past the body line compared to the pass side

thanks, that helps. I guess its really simple geometry when you think about it, the track bar to unibody mount is going to be farther from the axle than it was stock, so that will shorten the diagonal, in turn pushing the axle towards the side the track bar is mounted to (driver's side)
I am looking at Rusty's, but after doing a search I'm finding that people have issues with them (smaller bolt size than stock causing play if not over tightened) I know there are problems with everything but maybe I should just save up and get one from RE or Skyjacker since there's also comes with a new steering stabilizer.
I just want to make sure that if I leave it stock for now I'll be able to have it aligned properly.

I don't think that there'll be any problem making the toe adjustment. Even if the axle is moved toward the left, the front tires will track straight ahead after the alignment. The back tires just won't track perfectly behind the fronts, but no one will ever notice the slight difference. Of course, any lift is also going to change your caster setting, but that's another story.
I installed a two-inch Skyjacker lift. I tried their relocation bracket. It just threw the axle too far to the right. I took the bracket back off. It's meant with lifts from two to four inches, but I think it is manufactured as a compromise to work best in between two and four inches (i.e., three inches). I'd be happy to send you my bracket if you want to try it. If it works for you, you could send me the cost for shipping. I'm just going to throw the bracket away unless someone else wants it.
My concern with moving my axle to the left with the lift is the changing of the relationship of the control arms to the axle and frame mounts and possibility causing premature wear of the bushings.
