Default adding 1.5 to my 3" lift

I want to add to my lift to give it a 4.5" lift. I wanna put 4.5 leaf packs in the rear and 1.5 spacers up front. I'm thinking abt rustys 4.5 pack and I also saw that rubicon makes one? (I don't want shackles I want a full 4.5 pack).. I want to use rubicon, but I know they sit higher than expected and I want my front to be the same height as my rear.. HELP!

It's been a long time since I've had any parts from Rusty's (10 years with my first ZJ).. But it was bad enough that I won't buy from them again.. Of course, over the years I haven't heard too many say much good about their products either. So from what I can tell, things haven't changed..

rustys suspension is very stiff. i would go with the rubi express lift as far as ride. use the rubi spacers up front.

As I've heard, if you want better flex an extended shackle will give you that. It will help the leads curve better than a full pack. I'm always against AAL unless it's Xj or s10 origin. Also do you have a TC drop and 4.5" items to prevent the possible vibes

JKS ACOS up front, OME HD leaf packs in rear + their AAL thats meant to work with their packs (if you like). + possibly MJ shackle.
You will need to consider the possibility of a SYE/HnT and aftermarket control arms if you haven't already.

yeah, I have to replace 22 year old bushings so I figured I mine as well add more lift while I'm down there. I do plan on getting jks everything because I know they make great products (new uca's, lca's, adj. Trac bar, and quick discos).. ill probably get a tc drop until I can get a sye and drive shaft upgrade, but this old 1990 jeep does great with lifts as far as vibes and stuff.

That's a good idea I forgot they even made 1.5" spacers... they do sell a 4.5" leaf pack, right? like without the shackles its still gunna be a 4.5" lift in the rear? Cause their kit comes with a shackle but I'm sure that's just for flex..

most taller lifts come with a shorter spring and a shackle because the taller spring will compress more, as the spring compresses it gets longer. It needs the longer shackle to work properly and not have any clearance issues with the shackle box.

for a 4.5" lift you should run around a 3" spring and 1.5" shackle or so.
