add a leaf?
I'm just trying to give a newbee some good advice. You think there are more people in favor of AAL's then full leaf packs. Start a thread and do a pole. You will find you are retarded. It's not even a worthy argument to anyone who knows anything about XJ's or off roading in general.

maybe he has the back loaded down with recovery gear, spare parts, camping gear? im pretty sure any vehicle designed to carry ANY load comes with the rear higher so that there is room for compression when under load? maybe you should take some things into consideration before you oppress your will and let the OP decide on what lift he will get the most bang for his buck with?

I'm waiting put up the pole and see what everyone thinks of AAL's vs a full leaf pack? If AAL's win I will withdraw all of my statements and say I'm sorry. Bad advice is worse then no advice. Hint hint dumb***

me too lol no idea were the AAL argument exploded from. wait

the AAL i ran on my truck were $30 shipped they are the same ones that work on XJ's full leaf packs are $180+ that extra $150 can go to adjustable LCA's or an adjustable tracbar or hell throw in $70 he could have something really useful like an SYE.

It exploded form people trying to say that AAL's were just as good as a full leaf pack. And sorry but anyone who ?'s that should not own any 4X4. Unless it is a Chev 1500 with 6" blocks and then the government should step in and properly remove them from civilization.

i reread the thread no one ever really said that AAL's were as good as a full pack. several people said they were acceptable and usable. i do agree with your point that AAL's do not give anything close to the performance of a full pack.
