I'm gonna have to agree. They are a total waste of money. I used AAL in my first xj because I was young and didn't have any money. It worked well for about 6 months and then started sagging. I'm one of those people who learns from their mistakes so If I cant afford full packs I don't buy the lift until I can. A buddy of mine had the same lift the OP was looking at and his was fine for about a year and then the rear started sagging so he added shackles. I honestly can't say I know anyone who has had success with AAL, but maybe we just aren't hard enough on our rigs.

You really think one leaf will correct the arch on 4 or 5 ( I forget how meany )? And that add a leaf is only half the length of most of the leafs. I'm no rocket scientist but my cousin with down syndrome can figure this out.
because he put on spacers in the front so to level the front and rear he put in shackles. weird i know.

I thaught they came with a 3" aal and 1.5" shackles.. Or a 4.5" leaf pack

plenty of arch in them. not all jeeps are the same. this one is sitting at 4.5" in the back with no SYE or vibes either. maybe you got a **** AAL. **** happens i ran a procomp on my truck but stock ranger leafs are also alot higher rated than XJ ones.

A leaf pack out of a 4.5" lift is only 3" over a stock replacement. I guess when it comes to some of you guys ignorance is bliss.

And your rear is an inch lower thanks for proving my point. Look at the space between the wheel well and the tire. Can you not see that???????????? Ya me and almost 20 people I know all got bad aal's and you are the only one who go good ones because you are blind and can't use a ruler. Wonder why you didn't need a SYE????

No it dose not. XJ's came with the rear higher then the front. So when they make lifts they make them off the stock specks. That is why some spacer kits for the front are still called leveling kits.

yep and some spacers are 1 3/4" that are sold as 2" lifts. shackles that are sold as 2" and only net 1.5" weird. heck i remember several guys buying 4.5" lift leafs and gaining 5-6". there also some kits that keep the factory rake as well hence certain kits actually gaining 4.5" or more. oh and does not dose.
