add a leaf?
I'm gonna have to agree. They are a total waste of money. I used AAL in my first xj because I was young and didn't have any money. It worked well for about 6 months and then started sagging. I'm one of those people who learns from their mistakes so If I cant afford full packs I don't buy the lift until I can. A buddy of mine had the same lift the OP was looking at and his was fine for about a year and then the rear started sagging so he added shackles. I honestly can't say I know anyone who has had success with AAL, but maybe we just aren't hard enough on our rigs.

According to the 16 people I know who have tried them. Why do you think your friend now has shackles? You know what? Try them out, wast your money and then you will find out that I am right. One leaf with more arch will only temporarily change the arch of the rest of them. Come on man just think about how it works and if it will really work at all? You really think one leaf will correct the arch on 4 or 5 ( I forget how meany )? And that add a leaf is only half the length of most of the leafs. I'm no rocket scientist but my cousin with down syndrome can figure this out.

the only thing saggin here......brutalxj....anyhow, remember that more leafs plus less arch means greater flex...i run that lift with aal for years and it hasnt sagged and i haul way to much stuff with my xj and i wheel every weekend and impress people with bigger lifts and their higher COG

Really????? Like I care buy them. Its not my money this time. If your smart your will see in 3-6 months that I am right. And I'm not the only one who thinks that.

And your rear is an inch lower thanks for proving my point. Look at the space between the wheel well and the tire. Can you not see that???????????? Ya me and almost 20 people I know all got bad aal's and you are the only one who go good ones because you are blind and can't use a ruler. Wonder why you didn't need a SYE????

yep and some spacers are 1 3/4" that are sold as 2" lifts. shackles that are sold as 2" and only net 1.5" weird. heck i remember several guys buying 4.5" lift leafs and gaining 5-6". there also some kits that keep the factory rake as well hence certain kits actually gaining 4.5" or more. oh and does not dose.
