i recently purchased a 99 limited with a lift already installed. The rear leafs on one side are getting worn and sagging. I want to replace the leafs, it looks like i have a 3” kit with an AAL in the rear. I was thinking if I go that far I would just purchase the rubicon express 3.5 rear leafs and the 3.5 front coils. If I do that will I need to purchase anything else or will I be set with what I currently have? The lift I currently I’m unsure of brand as there’s no branding anywhere. But it has different shocks, front coils, rear AAL, sway bar lowering brackets, and I believe aftermarket lower control arms. So could I get away with just doing coils and leafs from the rubicon 3.5 kit and be ok?
Seeing that you do not have anything aftermarket to add weight, like bumpers or a tire carrier, the RE lift will lift more then 3.5". Mine with the RE 3.5" springs (and a leaf removed in the rear) sits at a 4.25" lift. I would recommend running an adjustable track bar at that lift as well.
Is it safe to say I have 3” coils in the front and if I put 3” leafs in the rear it will be level? Does the front of mine look like a typical 3” lift with no sag? Everything looks new so I doubt the front coils are sagging but I want to make sure. I could order some OME 3” lift leafs if you guys think that it would be level. I don’t want to go much higher and if I have to purchase an adjustable track bar for the Rubicon express then I’d rather not go that route.

Basically at this point I’m looking at trying to find the best way to level the Jeep back out. It looks like it sits lower in the rear than the front and the tear passenger side leaf is starting to turn upside down because it’s week. I’ve come up with 2 options. OME cs033rb 3” lift leafs to replace it compltelely and hopefully keep it level with the front. Or I can purchase original leaf packs and put a AAL in to level it. Ive found a 2” and a 2.5” AAL. Another question I have is how do I find out what “code” leaf springs I have from the factory in case I order original replacements?
I was able to find a number in my leaf springs which was 706ab so my guess is that they are the standard duty leaf springs. This is based off the info I found on this site
now another question. Should I order the standard duty replacements or opt for heavy duty replacements? I don’t haul anything and if anything I will have a Jeep full of people. At most. Possibly some kayaks and such this summer. What would you recommend?
If you are saying that the leafs are flat right now, I doubt you have an add a leaf. You most likely have longer shackles and stock springs. If that is the case, you should be able to get something like the crown or dorman heavy duty springs and get a 1.5-2" lift from where you are now. Stay away from adding a leaf if you can.
I have a 5 leaf pack right now with stock shackles. Stock leafs come with 4 correct? You can see a difinitive difference between the leaf pack and one of the leafs showing it’s an AAL.
Can you post a picture of the leaf and shackle? What you are saying isnt making sense to me. If the leaf was flat or even going inverted like you mentioned, with stock shackles, your tires should almost be rubbing the flares. Here is what mine looked like with 31s, almost flat leafs and 1" extended shackle. No where near as lifted as yours.
I can’t send a picture until tomorrow since it’s dark here where I live. But on the passenger side on the very top leaf (the longest one), right after the second longest one ends, the longest starts to bend and invert the other way between that point and the shackle. The driver side still has a decent curve to it. The leaf isn’t gone yet but it’s starting to. The passenger rear sits about .5-1 inch lower than the driver. The picture I posted is of the driver side which I feel sits pretty decent, but maybe still a hair lower than the front?
Basically I just want to replace my leafs and make sure it’s level with the front. Idk whether I can just buy stock replacement springs and swap my AAL over from my current setup or by a full 3” lift leaf pack. I just want it level and not looking dumb after replaced lol

New question what would it take to go from my current 3” rough country to a 4.5”? My current lift has the rough country coil springs, AAL, lower control arms, sway bar lowering bracket. Rough country’s lower control arms say they work for 3-4.5 inches which I don’t believe I’d have to change. So what I’m thinking I need is the coil springs for 4.5, leaf springs for that height, extended brake lines, track bar, shocks. Then a sye for the vibrations and maybe a control arm drop bracket. My question is am I correct in what I need? Also for the rear lift. Could I get 3.5” lift springs and add the shackle relocation that adds 1-1.5 lift and be level with the front of a 4.5” lift? Do I need the shackle relocation brackets?
