hello,
I was recently dropping the front axle to pull my steering. In doing so I found the front drive shaft bound up at the slip joint(aw crap), thus limiting my down travel. It was enough that i couldnt get the springs out.
My question is, is it worth trying to have a driveline shop add more compression ability to the slip joint or is a new shaft better worth my money?
I assume a new shaft ill need to measure with the shaft off and find out what the suspensions maximum droop is correct? same for modifying the stock.

IMHO --- The cost rebuilding an old driveshaft will be more than a new one. There are others, but I went with Tom Woods and the cost was less than $300. Their site has simple instructions on how to measure to get the correct length Woody for your rig.
