front coils "Wrap or bind" even on small bump at speed
Searched around and couldn't find anything.
98 XJ swapped with D44 out of 79 bronco, radius arms on Johnny joints.
4.5 lift springs seem to bind (sounds like a "chuuuung" if that makes since)
When I'm going through twisty trails and articulating it seems fine. But once i get out in the open and speed up almost any bump will cause the springs to make that sound.
Old front shocks? maybe they aren't helping the coil enough?
i know my jeep is not a jeep speed but i feel i should be able to go faster than 25 down a wash in ocotillo wells! Frustrating to be the guy that holds the group up.
if there is a thread i missed on this post it up and ill take a look.
Thanks!

how are the buckets and towers seated? my front coils are a little bowed too but they only made noise when they were coming into contact with my track bar bracket (moved bracket, no noise now). odds are, yours might just be old and clunky. but even still, your coil springs wont be the things holding you up from the go-fast. nice shocks, bump stops, binding, lots of other factors can mess you up in the comfort department but its tough to go wrong with coils in my experience.
anyway, I reckon your coils are coming into contact with something they shouldn't be. get her flexed out and start looking around under there to see what the problem is
