'92 Clutch Flex Hose discontinued
The hydraulic hose that runs between the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder has been discontinued for my 92 Cherokee Laredo, 5 spd, 6L 4.0L. Nobody has the part in stock. I can't find a salvage part either though have called 20 -30 yards across US. Anyone know if this hose can be re-made or know of any other options? The hose is made of a hard plastic and has quick disconnects on either end. Can't buy the entire kit either (Clutch master & slave), can only buy each separate without the hose. Any help is appreciated.

I JUST went through this. I wound up making the line out of steel brake tubing. It took a little ghetto work to get it right, but it works perfectly now.
A dealer said they could get it, within a week at a cost of $130... No thanks.

Look up hyd line makers in ur area like the parker store I have had lines made from oil cooler lines power steering high pressure lines big truck hyd lines .... if u can remove the fitting out of the clutch master and slave cyl to get the end fitting size so u can just replace the line as an assembly .... If the ends are still good off the old line u could try to have them reused on new line they should be able to help ya out there .....

The master cylinder end is the difficult part. The fitting is molded into the plastic line and it is just held in place with a pin through the master. I'm not proud of how I got the steel line into the master (after many other failed attempts) but it works and should never fail.
After I got the master end fixed, fabbing the line to the slave was easy. I Got it all done with a 4 ft piece of line and 2 compression fittings.

Also try looking it up on Ebay. I found lots of them there when I replaced mine last year. But I was able to get mine from Car Quest when I replaced mine.

Be carefull what hoses you use. Brake fluid softens butyl and some other types of rubber. Make sure all wetted parts are teflon or EPDM rubber.

Your 92 should have an internal slave. But I dont see why you cant get the line at Napa. I bought a new master and slave for my 98 and it came with the clutch line between the two.
