89 jeep Cherokee stays running even in off position.
Hey guys I have a 89 Cherokee sport pretty stock. The motor got replaced by the previous owner and they put in a 1991 4.0 high output. And ever since then the jeep with start fine. Every thing is on I can drive perfectly. But when I turn off the jeep the motor stays running. And all the acc. Are on. Radio. Lights. Etc. I JUST REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH so I know that's not bad. And also my reverse lights stay on. The only way to get my jeep to turn off is to stall it(since it's manual) then unplug the battery. The whole electrical system has a constant 12v until the battery is pulled. Also I have no ignition cylinder. Just the rod to the ignition switch. So I know the switch is not miss aligned. I'm stumped. Anybody have any info???

As far as your battery drain. I'd disconnect the positive cable & attach a test light between the battery & cable. Next, pull one fuse at a time until the test light goes out. There is your drain.
You say there is a constant 12V, that's probably why the Jeep won't cut off.
