When I did my disc swap, I tried it with out the prop valve first and never saw a need to change it. So, I'm still running the factory prop valve but my xj is strictly off road so road manners don't matter to me. I think that the biggest issue with not swapping it is that it becomes easier to lock up the rear brakes, especially on wet roads.
I just finished doing the Liberty rear brake swap. It was a bolt on. No modifications at all. Just went to the JY and pulled the rear backing plates (with e-brake cables still attached) and calipers. Mine were from a 2007 Liberty. I decided to purchase new rotors and brake pads. Ended up costing about $200 total. Here is the link to the write up.

I did this project a couple weeks ago and couldnt be happier.the install was fairly easy and only took about hour and a half. I found my parts from a guy on ebay they were decent priced and great parts. Think i paid aroun 170 for the parts.Just checked ebay and he is still selling them.
