I am looking at getting 5 inches of lift on my '01 2wd, It is very rarely ever going to see anything rougher then a gravel road, just going to be for looks, I have 3 inch front springs and an add a leaf for the rear so far, I was wondering how would be the best way to get another 2 inches?, coil spacers up front, shackles in the rear or block what else am I going to need, and I am especially interested in what needs to be done with the Trac Bar, do I need to go with an adjustable?, also is there any steering correction that will be needed?, Ball Joints are new and tie rods are all good, wondering mostly about a pit man arm drop, any help and/or suggestions would be helpful.

stock control arms are gonna look funky at that height. I dont think they're long enough to keep the axle centered in the wheel well. track bar can be redrilled (hack).
spacer for the front is fine and a 1.5" shackle rear with a 1" block for when that add a leaf sags out. probably wont need a drop pitman. probably will need some longer shocks from autozone or something.
this thing is gonna be UNCOMFORTABLE. proper 5" of lift takes some money and tinkering. I highly suggest keeping it at 3" and instead, cut your fenders to give the appearance of a taller lift

Coils spacers ans longer shackles are fine, but the aal isn't very good. Its gonna ride like **** and sag quickly. Go with full packs. For 5" you will need: upper and lower control arms or long arms, brake lines, shocks, and an adjustable track bar.

Definatly don't wanna stay at 3 inches, and not against waiting longer and buying more needed parts, the info on adjustable control arms is the kind of info that I was looking for when I started this thread, great info and something that I wasn't sure about, but the info about them helping keep the ride more comfortable while still going up to 5 inches is exactly the type of stuff I need to know, thanks for the info thus far and please anyone with more useful tidbits please help a newbie out and inform me as to the ins and outs that you have experienced.

You'll need at least adjustable control arms. I'd go with long arms personally. Adjustable track bar, coil spacers and shackles, 4 new shocks, possibly longer brake lines (we haven't tried the rear yet, but stock YJ brake lines are perfect on my roommate's MJ up front with 4.5"). Thats all I can think of.
