4.6L stroker build
Hey everyone, I'm looking to start building a stroker for my 95 XJ, possibly my 99.. I guess which ever craps out first. Question is has anyone used this kit before?

I'm looking at getting the Stage II bottom end kit and the Stage I can kit. I talked to their customer service and he recommended going with a can kit instead of stock. Any input?
Wanting to take my time building it and doing it right. All input is helpful.

Have a look over on jeepstrokers.com
I would contact Russ Pottenger for what you want and need. He has some better forged pistons than the Icon. He will set you up with all the parts you need. He knows what works and what doesn't.

Would anyone recommend a high capacity oil pump? I've seen it go both ways, but I've seen some people say it can starve the bottom end for oil?

The stock oil pump is fine. It seems that the high capacity or high pressure pumps put too much pressure on the cam drive gear and can cause some wear issues and problems. These HC and HP pumps are not needed.
Head I am not sure. The earlier heads have a fitting on the back of the head for ?oil pressure sensor IIRC. I don't know what your '95 has. I only have '98+ engines.
